Yesterday’s results were a mixed bag for rostered arms: Yoshinobu Yamamoto was brilliant against Cincinnati, firing 7.0 innings of one-run ball with 10 strikeouts on just three hits to pick up the win, while Cristopher Sánchez, the most rostered pitcher heading into that slate with four staffs on board, escaped with a win despite a shaky 6-6-6 line over six… innings against Houston. Foster Griffin had a rough go of it in Baltimore, lasting just 2.1 innings and surrendering eight earned runs in the loss. Turning to today’s probables, Max Fried leads the way as the most rostered starter on the board with two selections as he takes on Colorado, while Zack Wheeler looks to bounce back for Philadelphia against Houston and Nick Martinez toes the rubber for Tampa Bay on the road against Atlanta, each with a single staff banking on them.
